Socket beads

Single socket and switch bead

Create a clean, reinforced opening around a standard single socket or light switch.

The single socket bead gives plasterers a defined edge to skim against while protecting the opening and the connections behind it. Once the finish has cured, the centre is removed to reveal a tidy, repeatable surround ready for the faceplate.

Installation overview

Use it in the right sequence.

  1. 1

Position the bead over the prepared opening with the cables safely contained.

  2. 2

Staple in place. If the box is more than 9.5 mm behind the surface, use the moulded indentations and socket screws to align it.

  3. 3

Skim over the bead and allow the plaster to cure fully.

  4. 4

Tap the centre to expose the cut line, then remove it carefully with a hooked blade.

Check the product instructions, fitting dimensions and relevant electrical requirements before installation.
