Built from site experience

A simple answer to an awkward finishing problem.

Developed from more than 35 years of plastering and building experience, the bead protects openings, gives wet trades a defined edge and reveals the position after curing.

The principle

From rough opening to clean finish.

Fit the spotlight bead over the ceiling cutout before plastering. Its closed centre protects the opening, keeps the cable position visible and gives the plasterer a firm circular edge to work to.

After the plaster has cured, remove the centre and reopen only the size required for the chosen downlight. The same simple principle is used across the socket, switch and specialist bead range.

Materials & performance

Flame-retardant, recyclable polypropylene.

The related BeadMaster range is made from recyclable polypropylene with a UL94 V-2 flame-retardant additive. When correctly stapled, left unpierced and fully plastered in, the specification gives IP54 protection. The UL94 classification applies to the material rather than the complete wall or ceiling.
